North River Cabinetry was founded in 2024 by a group of Islanders with shared experience in cabinetry, construction, and real estate development. Together, we saw a clear gap in the Prince Edward Island market: the need for cabinetry that is well-built, locally made, fairly priced, and delivered on schedule.
As construction across P.E.I. continued to grow, we recognized that much of the cabinetry being bought and sold on the Island was coming from other provinces or overseas. We believed there was a better way — one that supported local trades, gave builders and homeowners more reliable access to quality cabinetry, and kept more of that work here at home.
North River Cabinetry Ltd. was built on that belief: to provide Islanders with dependable, high-quality cabinetry made locally, with the service and timelines our growing construction industry needs.

Our Growth: From Local Shop to Industry Disruptor
Starting in a small shop with 3 workers in fall of 2024, our team has since grown to 13+. We have managed to attract top professionals with whom we share and attribute the success of the company’s growth to.
We may still be young, but we have evolved many times since opening. We have expanded our services and tailored our focus to three key areas:
custom cabinetry,
commercial cabinetry and millwork; and,
multi-unit housing cabinetry.
Today, we recognize that the work we do often creates the backbone of any beautiful space, and we approach every cut, joint and detail with an uncompromising taste.
